Arc. Giwa has paid for WAEC forms of students of Lagelu and Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

9Janewshub.com.ng reports that In his efforts towards achieving a better society, Architect Hassan Olawale Giwa has again paid for  West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) forms of some students who are residents of Akinyele and Lagelu local government areas of Oyo State.

Giwa in his address during the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries at his Monatan Office maintained that the gesture is part of Hassan Olawale Giwa Foundation educational support scheme.

He said,  “we are here to touch lives, we are here to empower school pupils as usual by giving them a supporting hand for their WAEC registration and we have been doing this for past 17 years now, we’ve been touching lives in health sector, education, sports in our own little way.

“We’ve distributed over 100,000 exercise books to pupils and our aims is so simple, it is all about touching lives. We want to create a better environment, better tomorrow and better society.

“This mission has nothing to do with my political ambition it’s born out of my philanthropic gesture for touching lives, we’ve been on this for a while and we’ve been consistent with it, those people that do such program for Politics does it during electioneering period but in our own case it’s different because we have been so consistent.

“Though if we are giving the opportunity to serve our people at any capacity, definitely we will do better this is what we have been doing relentlessly and we are doing it because it gives us joy, touching people’s lives gives us joy indifferent ways and we don’t want to abandoned it, so this means if I have been using my wealth all these years that means if I have better platform to serve people I will do better, but I can tell you this is beyond politics our aims is to have a better society. Giwa said.

Some of the beneficiaries who spoke on behalf of others are Master Adeleke Barakat Abiodun of ward 5, Lagun Community Grammar School Lagun, Lagelu LG, Olayiwola Rukoyat Olajumoke Ijaye Community High School, Akinyele LG, Sodiq Abdulrahman Ojoo High School Akinyele LG, Azeez Zainab Asabi Anglican Grammar School Lagelu LG applauded Hassan Giwa Foundation for the support, and promised to fly out with good grades in their examinations.

Leaders who graced the occasion included Hon. Fatai Awoyoola, Hon. Kehinde Adeleke, Hon. Gbenga Adekanmbi,  Hon. Olumide Yakub Ali, Hon. Sikiru Adebayo, Chief Segun Ajuwon and Hon. Akeem safejo, among others.
