Oyo NSCDC Commandant has warned criminal minded people in the state.
SWIndependentnews.com.ng reports that the Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps Commandant, CC Micheal Adaralewa has called on the criminal elements in the state to have a rethink over their sources of income or face the full wrath of law.
Commandant Adaralewa made the disclosure on Thursday at the Command Headquarters Agodi Ibadan the Capital City of Oyo State while parading a suspect one Mr. Olaide Hassan for allegedly diverting 66 kegs of 25 liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as Petrol to Benin Republic.

The development according to a press release issued by the State Public Relations Officer of Corps, CSC Oluwole Olusegun stressed that the suspect was arrested by the team of Anti-Vandal and Commandant Monitoring team of the Command at early hour of Thursday 23rd September 2021 around 0125hrs along Ogboro to Saki Road.
The statement also maintained that Olaide Hassan 28yrs, a native of Saki was arrested with sixty six(66) kegs of 25litres total at 1,650 litres valued at two hundred and sixty seven thousand three hundred(N267,300) of petroleum product(Pms) loaded in a black Golf car with registration number AGL 17 AY Lagos for diversion to the neighbouring Country of Benin republic.
While parading the suspect at the State Command Headquarters of the Corps at Agodi Ibadan  Commandant Adaralewa Michael made it known that it’s better for all the criminals who think they want to live in Oyo State to perpetrate their Criminality to have a rethink or rather look for a legal work to do because the Command will not leave any stone unturned in dealing with these bad people that are determined to in sabotaging the economy of the Country.
“They must know that there is a new Sheriff in town. CC Adaralewa said.
Commandant Adaralewa however  made it known that the suspect Olaide Hassan will be charge to court after the conclusion of the investigation by the Intelligence and Investigative Department.
He also enjoined the general public to work closely with the NSCDC and other security agencies in the State in other to serve them better for the economy growth of the State and Country at large. He also promised adequate 24hrs patrol now and during the ending of the year.
