Oyo state Police Command has paraded three suspected armed robbers.
SWIndependentnews.com.ng reports that the Oyo state Commissioner of Police CP. Ngozi Onadeko fdc, in her promise not to leave any stone unturned in the fight against crime and criminality yielded result through the arrest of three suspected armed robbers terrorizing the poeple of Ilero Odo Ona Elewe Area of Ibadan the Capital City of Oyo State.
The suspected armed robbers namely Kunle John aged 24, Fasasi Kudus 23, Lateef Adegoke 22, were paraded on Monday at the State Police Command Headquarters Eleyele Ibadan with some exhibits recovered from them.
 Mr. Kunle Ayedire one of the suspected armed robbers said “some of  armed robbers broke into our compound at about 1:30 am at Ilero Estate in Odo Ona Elewe Area of Ibadan, they ransacked the entire flats in our compound except mine, they started with the first floor and later tried to gain entrance into my apartment but they couldn’t due to the iron burglary proof types of my door, they tried to ark it but it didn’t work, they even shot at it twice but the door didn’t open, one of them even tried to gain access through the back door but he didn’t succeeded as the same kind of door was used for the back exist.

They couldn’t get into my apartment but while they were leaving they vandalize my car and they now left my place into another compound, I called the security man immediately I realized they were armed robbers and DPO of Orita Challenge responded swiftly into the matter, his team came less down twenty minutes.
The police upon their arrival started assessing out compound and those thieves were actually working in the next street and immediately they heard the siren of Police they took to their heels but unfortunately they met police patrol team outside and we saw them and in order for the to escape they opened gunshots at Police.
“They manged to escape during the gun duel with Police but three of them were later arrested the following morning, I think they hide in the vicinity till the next day to avoid being arrest but unfortunately for them they were eventually apprehended. Ayedire said.
Another victims who was robbed alongside his wife, Mr. Kabiru Sekoni said, “the whole matter started around 1:30 am last Friday, when I heard a gunshots, I initially thought it was a vigilante gunshots not until I heard those guys forcing the gate, they actually broken the gate leading into our compound and they came in and went straight into the first flat on the ground floor where they robbed the guy and beaten him to a pulp, before they later came into my apartment.
“They robbed me off of my phones, my wife phones and the sum of N1.2m cash was taken away. “They also went away with some documents because I worked with the state government, it was the police siren that they heard that made them fled with those looted items, they were in the last flat of the next street when the police came, that dark in complexion guy was the one who came in with his accomplices, I saw him on that very day but my items is not part of these exhibits.
“I urged the police to come and help us in our community to flush out some bad boys that used to smoke helm at Ilero Estate junction, I suspected them to be the mastermind behind all criminal activities in our community. Sekoni said.
Speaking with journalists, one of the suspect Kunle John aged 24 said “I’m a furniture, I have my workshop, I was not arrested with any exhibits, I was actually coming from a site where I slept over night, my, I was arrested at Ilero Estate junction on Saturday morning around 6:10am.
Fasasi Kudus, I was arrested on Saturday morning around 7:00am I was arrested with my friends Lateef Adegoke, we live at Olosan but we went to ease ourselves at Ilero Estate and on our way we met the vigilante people and greeted them and they responded, and it was on our way back they stopped us and started questioning us and we were eventually arrested because one of the robbed victims identified Lateef as one of the thieves that came to rob them.
The Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Police Command, CP Ngozi Onadeko fdc, however enjoins the good people of the state to partner with the Police in terms of sharing credible and timely information valuable in curbing criminality and birthing a peaceful Oyo State of our collective dreams.
Speaking on the latest development as  regards arrest of the suspects, the Police Boss said investigation is ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects are 1 torch light, four bullet cartridges of ammunition, 2 bags, 3 wrist watches, some charms, 3 smart phones, 3 buttons phones, 1 lighter,  1 face cap, 1 female purse, 2 padlocks and a laptop.
