YEAP beneficiaries endorsed Governor Makinde for second term in office.

9Janewshub.com.ng reports that no fewer than 300 beneficiaries of Oyo State Youth Enterprenuership In Agriculture Project (YEAP) arrived Ibadan the Capital City of Oyo State safely from Nasarawa state.

The beneficiaries who were selected across all the local governments areas of the state arrived the state Secretariat amidst tight security at exactly 9:04am on Sunday with joyous mood after two weeks of agribusiness training in Nasarawa state.

The YEAP trainees could not hide their joy as they were sighted praise singing Governor Makinde for the Initiatives who to many of them is life changing program.

The trainees were gathered to have been camped in far Nasarawa state for two weeks on agribusiness and it’s value chain, and they are very optimistic of changing their society for better with the agriculture knowledge they have acquired from the state government sponsored initiative.

9Janewshub.com.ng recalled that the Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde through Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency (OYSADA) has empowered no fewer than 3300 youths selected from all the local across the state including non Indigenes residing in the state with required knowledge and skills  in agribusiness with the aim of engaging the youths with meaningful employment scheme.

YEAP is one of various projects of OYSADA just like Start Them Early Program(STEP) and the beneficiaries are expected to receive a start up grants, parcel of land, and other needed items from the state government to sustain the project.

YEAP will no doubt address the issue of unemployment among the teeming Oyo Youths.

The youths who could not hide their joy, as they were seen with their luggages, and Tablet Phones provided to them by the state government to aid their learning process as most of their lectures were based on adoption of technological innovations in practical agriculture.

The beneficiaries however  expresses their sincere  appreciations to Governor Seyi Makinde for the initiative, described him as a visionary leader and pledged their absolute support for his second term in office, as they said one good term deserves another.
