Governor Makinde has sworn-in President of State’s Customary Court of Appeal.
SWIndependentnews.com.ng report that Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has on Monday sworn-in the President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Moshood Akintunde Babafemi Abass.
The swear in event which was held at the EXCO chamber of the Governors Office Agodi Secretariat Ibadan on Monday had in attendance the Deputy Governor of the State, Engr. Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan, The Chief of Staff to Governor Makinde, Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, Speaker Oyo House Of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, The Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Munta Abimbola, the representation of Olubadan of Ibadan, Oyo state Judiciary Council as well as State Attorney General, Barrister Lowo Oyelowo among others.
In his remarks, Governor Makinde said the appointment of Justice Abass as the president of court of Appeal followed due process as stipulated by the Oyo State Judiciary Council rules and regulations as well as the Nigerian Judiciary Commission(NJC) Abuja.
“Swearing in of the President of Customary Court of Appeal shows that we are playing out part in ensuring that Judiciary system works in the state. We added extra money to Judiciary system to ensures that our judges are working in a conducive atmosphere. Makinde said.
