Oyo First Lady has urged kind hearted people to always contribute their qouta for the benefits of mankind.
SWIndependent.com.ng reports that wife of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde has on Thursday 17th June 2021 called on well meaning Nigerians to always contribute their best to the development of mainkind.

Engr. Tanmunominini Makinde made the call while commissionning a Solar Energy project at the State Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities, Moniya, Ibadan.

The project which was donated to the rehab center by Bruem Energy will serve as an alternative power supply when there is a power failure.

Engr. Tanmunominini Makinde however commended the entire team of Bruem Energy for the donor, stressed that such gesture gives philanthropists in the State the opportunity to contribute their quota to the economic growth and development of the State and by extension Nigeria. 

Her Excellency also maintained that ithere is no gift or donation that is too small or big, in as much as it came from a pure mind.

She said “Giving must come with generosity and that’s what my brother the Chief Executive Officer of Bruem Energy, Mr. Meka Nwankwo and his company has done”, she said.

She added that, “Even a token goes a long way, nothing is too small and this gesture will be forever appreciated by the people that are going to benefit from it.”

Also in his address, the Chief Executive Officer of Bruem Energy Company, Mr. ‘Meka Nwankwo said that the solar energy project was initiated by Her Excellency, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde.

“Though our company wanted to do it for Her Excellency, she advised that it would be better to donate the solar energy to the people and places where it is needed and that’s where the idea came from.”

“I was raised to give to humanity because it is better to give than to receive and at a time like this, what we need is alternative energy”.

“We give energy just like helping our environment and the energy system is a solar panel that provides twenty-four hours of energy for the use of the school”, he continued.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Vice Principal of the Rehabilitation Center for Persons with Disabilities, Mr. Adedokun Adeyinka commended the First Lady for her initiative to facilitate the solar energy project to improve the quality of lives of persons with disabilities in the State.

Some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion were the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Disability Matters, Barrister Ayodele Adekanbi, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Mrs. Christianah Abioye, Directors among others.
