Lagos State House of Assembly has promised justice over Bamise’s case.

9Janewshub.com.ng reports that the Lagos State House of Assembly under it’s leadership,  Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has promised the family of slained Bamise Ayanwole true  justice.

Hon. Obasa made the pledge on Tuesday while addressing some protesters that stormed the House of Assembly Complex to request for the intervention of the lawmakers in the ongoing investigation in the murder case of Bamise who was allegedly killed by a BRT driver she boarded.

The protesters included the immediate sister of Bamise in their demands called for a sincere justice for the family of the victim.

One of the protesters in his words, said it was painful that such an incident could happen in a state like Lagos.

Obasa, who said he and his colleagues were very concerned about the incident, sympathized with the family and friends of the victim.

While urging Nigerians not to preempt the police which is investigating the case, he said the House would continue to follow up to ensure justice is served appropriately.

“The erroneous belief that it would be swept under the carpet is unnecessary. The driver has been arrested and is in custody.

“We are watching and must ensure justice is done in the case. The Governor has spoken about it and I just want to appeal that we work together to get justice.

“We will do everything to make sure that justice is served. Justice must be served. And everybody in Lagos must be protected,” Obasa said.
