Lt. Gen. Buratai has commissioned projects at command science secondary school Saki.

9Janewshub.com.ng reports that the Former Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai (Rtrd) who also doubles as the Ambassador to Republic of Benin has commissioned a newly built gate and road at Command Science Secondary School, Saki, Oyo state.

General Buratai who is also the Nigerian Ambassador to the Benin Republic also unveiled the plaque to commission the gate, cutting of tape and unveiling the edifice to signify the commissioning of the road and tree planting.

While commissioning the school project, General Buratai said education brings life and hope, hence the need for the teachers, students as well as management of the school to make use of it judiciously and maintain it perfectly to last long.

General Buratai also called for the support of Saki residents through massive enrolment of their children both far and near.

He added that Nigerian Army would continue to secure the lives of the students, teachers as well as the whole town to protect the territorial integrity of Nigeria Security.

General Buratai ,therefore, appreciated the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, for approving the commissioned road named after him.

In his address of welcome, General Officer Commanding, 2 Division Nigerian Army, Ibadan, Major General Gold Chibuisi appreciated the Oyo state Government for donating the school building to make it possible for Army to operate the Command Science school conveniently.

Major General Chibuisi ,therefore, called on teachers to maintain discipline and while also admonishing the students to respect seniority for a perfect and maximum overall performance.

The occasion was graced by deputy governor of Oyo state, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan, Okere of Saki land, Oba Halid Oyedepo, Oba Hameed Oyelude Olowu of Owukuta and other dignitaries from the Nigerian Army.

Other activities at the event included cultural dances by students at the school, inspection of the school facilities and presentation of souvenirs.
